Here is the program: Beginners Plus level
1.45 pm - Registration
2.00 pm - Introduction to Chacha
This Rhythm is originally an offshoot of the Mambo, the Cha Cha was the rage in the 50's. It has an infectious rhythm that has been used by many musicians, even those who are not traditionally thought of like Latin. We'll look at footwork (shines) to improve our timing and get a feel for the 'flavour' of Cha Cha.
Then we'll move onto some turn patterns showing how you can convert any of your salsa 'moves' into Cha Cha timing and get around the dance floor with confidence.
3.00 pm - Salsa Partner work with Lead & Following Techniques
Learn the essential leading and following techniques necessary to communicate on the dance floor. Leaders will learn how to execute figures with the appropriate signals, timing, momentum. Followers will learn how to respond rapidly to these signals with the proper body resistance and speed.
