4 Hours Workshop

We will have a workshop the 17th of November Tough by Angelica, at the Liffey Trust Studios and it will be 4 hours class with a one-hour lunch break, covering Pachanga, Chacha and Turns & Spin technique

Here is the program: Improvers/ Interm. level

12.00 pm - Pachanga

This fun and carefree dance is a dance of Cuban origin with a Charleston flavour. It is danced to the downbeat of four-four time to the usual mambo offbeat music. You will learn traditional combinations that can easily be utilized on the dance floor in any social setting.

01.00 pm – Chacha

This Rhythm is originally an offshoot of the Mambo, the Cha Cha was the rage in the 50's. It has an infectious rhythm that has been used by many musicians. We'll look at footwork (shines) to improve our timing and get a feel for the 'flavour' of Cha Cha.

02.00 pm – Lunch Break (Sandwich will be provided by the Organizer)

03.00 - 05.00 pm – Turns & Spin technique

A better understanding of turns technique could change your world. The goal of these Classes is to improve your understanding of salsa turn mechanics, so you can get your turns more balanced and controlled as quickly as possible. Why? When your turns are solid, everything becomes SO much easier and a world of opportunity opens up. The top dancers you see are usually those who can execute turns with speed and control. Paired with musicality, those dancers become exceptional.

Learn specific footwork, spotting and balance exercises for flawless execution of single, double or more turns in Salsa

You will learn about tension - posture - spoting - balance and more
